Occidental Punta Cana All Inclusive Resort At Xcaret Destination. Is it worth it?

Hey fam! Welcome to my channel. On today’s vlog my family and I are traveling to Rivera Maya, Mexico! Our first time flying out of the country! We flew into Cancun Airport. Prior to your flight anytime you travel out of the country arrive at the airport 3 hours before departure time. If you can verify for you passport on your phone through the Airside app, I highly recommend this. You’ll save plenty of time. Unfortunately, you can only verify passports this way for adults and children 16 and up. Children under 15 has to be verified at the Airline counter. Arriving at Cancun Airport we had to check in with customs. That was about a 30-40 min wait and it was already hot and humid inside the airport. Walking out of the airport you’re immediately greeted with taxi drivers, tour guides and it can be quite difficult to walk out. It’s loud and so many things going on. We took a private shuttle to our resort which was an hour away. Shout out to Caribbean Taxi. We pre-booked our reservation and that is the way to go for any airport transportation. As, Cancun airport can be a bit overwhelming as soon as you walk out with many taxi drivers/airport shuttle waiting to greet you. If you don’t speak Spanish have your translator app handy. Have many smaller bills in USD or Pesos as tipping is greatly appreciated and USD is accepted. The resort we stayed at is called Occidental at Xcaret. It’s an all inclusive resort for families.
