The predictions of El Beg Jaf and his ancient historical origins In 1492, a Yarsani Kurdish scholar was born in Sharazoor who made very clear predictions for many events in humanity and the region. Ten years after him, a man named Nostradamus was born in France, and he made some predictions as well. Today the whole world knows Nostradamus, but El Beg is still unknown to many of us. Nostradamus French and El Beg Jaf Kurd! Interestingly, El Beg Jaf and Nostradamus both wrote their prophecies in poems. Nostradamus's is a quatrain and so is El Beg's, but he has added a double fifth (it has been and will be). In fact, the origins of both prophecies go back to the same past. However, the tradition of prophecy among the Kurds is much older than that and existed hundreds of years before that. This program looks at the history and origins of this Kurdish tradition and some of the predictions of this Yarsani Kurdish scholar.
