Bhume Puja or Bhume Parva is a vital nature-worshiping festival primarily celebrated by the Magar and Kham Magar communities in western Nepal to honor the Earth deity before the onset of the monsoon. Held annually around May or June, this ritual serves as a communal prayer to ensure protection from natural disasters like landslides and to invoke fertility for the upcoming harvest. Central to the celebration is the **Bhume Naach**, a rhythmic, synchronized group dance performed in circles, which, along with offerings made at sacred hilltop shrines, reinforces the community's ancestral connection to the land.
