KYDEX PRESS | VIOLENT ACTION | PART 2 OF 3 (EXTEND FOAM LIFE)

Not too many things we come across working with a Kydex Press creates a shocking response. This press, the vertical press, can catch you off guard and give you quite a fright. This startling effect happens when it comes time to release the pressure on the press. this of course depends on the type of clamps you are using. I do not care for messing around when it comes time to get my hands back on my work. When I want to release the pressure, I dump it all at one time. You will see why I refer to it as a violent action when you watch. You will have to agree I am not messing around, just know what to expect. Let us take a look at Kydex Press Foam. Foam in some type of form is what is used to press with. I have used ground pads, butt pads, and various specialty foams designed for pressing Kydex. Extending foam life becomes important because the specialty foams, although affordable, are not cheap. You want to keep your foam away from spills, oil, grease overspray, and generally dirty areas.
