MInggu 25- Kehamilan dari minggu ke minggu

Your fetus at 25 weeks This week is all about breathing. Your baby's lungs are growing stronger by the day, as new blood vessels form that will eventually help them breathe deeply. Their lungs have entered the saccular phase and are starting to produce a soap-like substance called surfactant, which helps drain amniotic fluid and replace it with air after the baby takes its first unassisted breath outside the womb. (Babies can't breathe unassisted until at least 28 weeks, but many babies survive to 25 weeks with intensive care.) The baby's alveolar ducts and air sacs are also starting to develop. And now they're starting to breathe through their tiny nostrils... aww! In other words, your baby is slowly getting the hang of breathing like we do outside the womb. It was previously believed that a fetus's nostrils remain blocked until this point in pregnancy, but recent research suggests that they open early and remain that way throughout all three trimesters. Of course, since there's no air in there, your baby is really just "breathing" with amniotic fluid, but practice is what counts, right? Haha. This week, your baby is gaining weight and their wrinkled skin is slowly disappearing. Hair is growing on their head, although this may fall out soon after birth. Because their kicks are much stronger than in previous weeks, you might sometimes feel a bulge in your belly, aka a bump on one side. If you shine a light on your bump, you might feel your baby turn their head in response. This is because their eyes are now developed enough to sense light. Their hearing is also more sensitive, so you might feel them jump in surprise when they hear a loud noise. By the way, how big is your baby this week? Mmm… At 25 weeks pregnant, your baby is just over 22.4 cm from the top of their head to the bottom of their bottom (known as the crown-rump length). Your baby is approximately 31.8 cm tall from crown to heel (crown-to-heel length), and your fetus weighs approximately 778 grams. My tips for you at week 25 are: Apply a belly cream to help relieve itching, but also remember to drink plenty of water and avoid hot showers or harsh soaps. Your growing belly and breasts may feel tight and itchy at this time, and moisturize frequently. Pregnancy can temporarily affect your eyes, causing blurred vision and dry eyes. Vision changes can also signal complications like preeclampsia and gestational diabetes, so mention any changes to your doctor, just in case. Drink plenty of water and maintain good hygiene to avoid urinary tract infections. I'll share a special article about how to prevent urinary tract infections. I'll put the link in the description. Start walking in the morning and consume more protein, as this will greatly help reduce swelling in your legs. Maintain your exercise routine, and remember to start doing BREATHING EXERCISES. This is important, and you need the exercise. Take our midwife's Breathing class to be better prepared for childbirth.
