Charlie's Angels, Season 1: Kelly Garrett, The Strong Angel

Charlie's Angels tells the story of three women who went to the Police Academy and then got assigned very mundane duties. Then they got hired by a reclusive and mysterious millionaire named Charles (Charlie) Townsend (John Forsythe) to work as private investigators. The women have no direct contact with Charlie, they only hear his voice through an intercom when he gives them their assignments. John Bosley (David Doyle) acts as a liaison between the Angels and Charlie. Although Bosley often helped out or played a supporting role with their field assignments, the Angels typically worked together as a trio. Kelly Garrett (Jaclyn Smith) is known as the Strong Angel. With her combined physical strength, and the ability to overcome hardship in her past as well as during her 5-year employment with the Townsend Agency (including 2 near fatal gunshot wounds and being injected with heroin by a vengeful perp she put away) Kelly proved her toughness in more ways than one. She is typically assigned to go undercover as student nurses, models, singers, and dancers. However, Kelly more than the other Angels during the first season posed as blackmailers, grifters, and con artists to get close to the bad guys. She has a knack for appearing cold, calculating, opportunistic, and greedy which earned their trust. The real Kelly has a soft spot for vulnerable children and is something of a lone wolf; though she is good friends with her colleagues Sabrina Duncan (Kate Jackson) and Jill Munroe (Farrah Fawcett-Majors). The Townsend Agency provided her with a 1976 Ford Mustang II Ghia Coupe as a company car.
