Taiwan: Jiufen Old Street

Juifen is a former gold-mining town located on the NE side of Taiwan and overlooks the Pacific Ocean. Primary tourism is due to it's resemblance (A-Mei teahouse specifically) to the Japanese anime "Spirited Away" , but the makers of the film deny any connection. We were unfortunatly caught in some bad timing - a holiday weekend for Taiwan which translated to huge tourist bus crowds (including ours)
