I Raised School Bus Safety Issue in Maharashtra Assembly After Bhiwandi Incident | Rais Shaikh

In the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, I raised a serious concern about school bus safety after a shocking incident involving two nursery students from Fatima High School. During their journey to school, the children reportedly fell from the bus and were injured while the driver remained unaware, raising serious questions about the safety measures followed in school transport systems. This incident is a wake-up call for authorities and institutions responsible for student safety. In the Assembly, I demanded the government to take immediate action by: Conducting strict safety audits for all school buses Making CCTV cameras mandatory in school transport vehicles Ensuring proper training and accountability of bus drivers and attendants Updating outdated school transport safety rules The daily travel of children to school must be safe, secure, and closely monitored. The safety of students is the responsibility of the entire system and cannot be ignored.
