Bank Fishing Flathead Catfish at Bartlett Lake

In this video, I fished at Bartlett Lake from the shore in search of some flathead catfish. Not only did I accomplished this, but I found some time to reconnect with friends, and introduce kids to the sport of fishing. Give it a watch to see the fish caught! Bartlett Lake is a known flathead catfish spot, but it has been a struggle to catch just one at times. In this video, I enjoyed the unique desert habitat, ate some good food, and praised God for catching THREE flatheads! I used live bluegills for all my fish, and I used some heavy gear (including 65 pound braid and the tri-swivel rig). If you are new to the channel, my goal is to entertain you guys with a fishing video but more importantly show y'all God's Word. Today, we focused on Revelation 1:14-15. [14] The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire, [15] his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters. (ESV). The main takeaway from this passage is that Jesus is all gracious and loving, while simultaneously being a God who is wrathful and justified. When John describes Jesus, he claims that his eyes are like fire. This is both comforting, as fire can be a source of light and warmth during a cold night. But it is also dangerous and unsettling, as in God's glory and his role as our LORD. If you haven't put your faith in Jesus, I urge you to do that now! Either when death approaches, or the end of the world gets to us first, I would hope you would want to be under the umbrella of Jesus' grace, rather than his raining wrath. Remember, that we are saved by repenting of our sins and believing in Jesus! Saved by faith and faith alone! I hope you learned something about God and also enjoyed the fishing video for bass!
