MOROCCO 3 – AIT BEN HADDOU ROUTE: On our third day in Morocco, we began our three-day trek to the Erg Chebbi desert in Merzouga, passing through the castle route and visiting the spectacular Ait Ben Haddou kasbah and the Atlas Film Studios in Ouarzazate. To get there, we had to cross the Atlas Mountains, which offered some of the best panoramic views in Morocco, reaching the highest point of the route, the Tizi-N-Tichka pass. We arrived tired but happy at the small Berber village of Ibrrahne, where our Riad Tazawa is located, in the heart of the Valley of Roses. Trip taken in January 2019.
