A teacher from a government higher secondary school has been suspended by the Education department in Kanyakumari. The teacher is accused of making objectionable statements about Hindus to a student and glorifying Christianity, possibly to coerce conversion. A has come out of a student talking about the said teacher. The District Educational Office (DEO) made the initial enquiry that led to the suspension. Now, further enquiries will take place to get to the root of the issue and take further action based on the final report. Due to the lack of police complaints, the department will not interfere but officials are looking into the matter. Here is the video of the 6th grader who came forward to talk about the issue.
