Why You Shouldn't Be A Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant
First off this is a video only highlighting the the Cons of becoming a PTA. There are tons of Pros and if you click the link above you can check out one of my videos on that. So now for what Sucks. Well PTA school usually sucks. Why? Because PTA students have to learn more in a shorter amount of time the DPT students. Facts. I watched a continue education course on that and the PT who did the research said it. Next, is that MOST of the instructors have never been trained in teaching methodology. Or if they have then they have fallen into a rut. How can you recognize this? Well if the teacher is lecturing then they are doing it wrong. I have tons of videos on that as well. Click above. So the first 2 lead to the third sucky thing and that is burn out. Before students even get licensed they are burnt out. Add into that Productivity standards and factory type clinics you can see the down sides. But remember there are actually lots of great reasons to be a PTA. But that is in other videos.
