Alberni Pacific Railway: Summer 2024 Route, and History

The Alberni Pacific Railway is a tourist train experience for locals and visitors alike. This railway attraction is located in Port Alberni, on Vancouver Island (British Columbia, Canada). The Alberni Pacific Railway is operated by the Western Vancouver Island Industrial Heritage Society. For Summer 2024, after a 5 year absence, the railway experience is re-launched as a community-focused train, traveling a route along the waterfront area of Port Alberni. The train is pulled by the MBL No.11 General Electric diesel locomotive. Also, there may be occasional rides in a crew speeder. A good simple start to the new era. The train will start operations in mid-late June 2024. This video is an explanatory walk along the train route, and a summary of this train's history.
