ACR/CHEST Clinical Practice Guidelines: Treatment of ILD With Systemic Autoimmune Rheumatic Diseases
The American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) recently released clinical practice guidelines for the screening, monitoring, and treatment of interstitial lung disease in people with systemic autoimmune rheumatic diseases (SARD), including systemic sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, idiopathic inflammatory myopathies, mixed connective tissue disease, and Sjogren’s Disease. These guidelines—the first of their kind—aimed to promote screening in high-risk patients that could lead to early interventions to prevent or slow progression of this highly morbid and lethal pulmonary disease. This webinar will feature a multidisciplinary panel discussion of pulmonologists and rheumatologists that will critically review these guidelines and provide commentary on the clinical implications of their implementation.
