Before the foundation of the world, God already had a plan for your salvation. This Sunday, we explored the profound truth that Jesus wasn't a victim of circumstance—He willingly became our Passover Lamb, knowing every detail of His death from the beginning. Just as the Israelites were saved by blood on their doorposts in Egypt, we are saved by the blood of Christ shed on Calvary. No animal sacrifice could accomplish what Jesus did. He bore the full wrath of God against sin, not for Himself, but for all of us—for all mankind throughout all ages. In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prayed with such agony that His sweat became as drops of blood. Yet He surrendered: "Not my will, but thine be done." What can wash away our sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
