1984 Boston Whaler Outrage 22 - 2021 Modifications

1984 Boston Whaler Outrage 22 Project Made this video with a 103 degree fever, so my narration at times seems a bit confused. Electronics / Electrical 100% all new wiring (with the exception of the Yamaha rigging) New fuse panel, busses and circuit breaker New switches New under gunwale lighting New fore and aft spreader lights New electric horn mounted on T-Top New Garmin chartplotter / fish finder New dual USB outlet in console Moved batteries to console (remained within Yamaha’s spec for cable length extension) Battery switches in console are accessible via the slidings doors under the helm Center Console All new console interior (custom shelf, drawer on slides, battery box) fabricated with marrante marine grade plywood and starboard. Slide out drawer is now on a stainless steel drawer slide. It is held closed by dual 10 lb latches. Custom starboard switch and gauge panel Fabricated new teak frames and sealed with Semco. I fastened the frames from the inside of the console so as not to have exposed fasteners. Original and varnished teak doors were stripped and sealed with Semco New aluminum door slides with felt runner liners Removable rubber matting was added to the floor of console New door latches make the doors easier to open and close, and hold tighter than the previous ones. Moved VHF and ignition, and added starboard trim plate to console face. Ignition is now better situated for attaching lanyard to captain (new law requires this). Removed audio system (head unit and speakers) in favor of a portable bluetooth device Turned bottom tilt-out bin unit into a tilt-out door. Inside the console I added a separator for this space. This will be used for house tools, spare parts and fuel additives. Rigging tunnel pass through fabricated with rubber sheeting Mechanical New lower unit bearings and seals New water pumps Engine oil and lower unit oil change Intakes cleaned Injectors cleaned New spark plugs New oil filters New fuel water separators Miscellaneous New T-Top canvas New fuel lines Swim platform (backordered) Gunwales had hardware and rub rail removed. Teak was cleaned and sealed with Semco New bilge pump in the bow compartment (drains into rope locker) Fuel filter and rigging tunnel fabricated with starboard Ring buoy and ring buoy mount Bottom Paint
