I'll show off my homemade cart for gas cylinders and gas burners and discuss the topic of flame heating with propane and oxygen. Typically, especially in oxyacetylene welding, acetylene is used instead of propane because, firstly, propane is not suitable for welding and, secondly, it doesn't reach as high temperatures as acetylene. However, propane is easier to handle and obtain, and also safer than acetylene. Therefore, it's an ideal alternative to acetylene, as many tasks such as flame heating, flame straightening, steel forming, and even melting can be performed with propane.
