Fishtube Liars, Home Based Operations Hurt Retail Stores, The Customer ISN’T Always Right And More!

Let’s play a game called what if. What if a hobbyist with 20 years of experience decides to own a Fish Store and wanted to, not only talk about all of the good stuff, but talk about the negative impact it has, too? What if the store owner, now knowledgeable from both a hobbyist perspective and a business owner perspective enters into the YouTube “fishtube” community and realizes that, sometimes, we’re being sold tall tales? What if wholesalers are doing sneaky things that affect retail stores and have a negative impact on those stores? What if the customer isn’t always right and it’s not necessarily the store’s fault that you don’t want to be accountable in this hobby for your own actions? What if fishtubers are lying to their followers, and now that you own a business in this industry, you feel like it’s time to call them out on it? What if some of these big name fish tubers are hurting some of their own followers by copying their ideas and selling the very same products to the masses? What if some of these fishtubers are more like a bad used car salesman than true hobbyists? What if a Fish Store tried to make you a better customer, even if you had to listen to some negative critique to become a better customer? What if it isn’t always the big box store employee’s fault? What if store employees stopped being your human Google service? What if aquarium clubs weren’t everything you’re told they are in a favorable positive light? What if somebody called all of this out and told you all about the positive and negative?
