Hiking the GR10 // Reaching the highest point on my trek through the Pyrenees

In July 2023 I took the train to Hendaye in the south of France to start my hike of the GR10. The GR10 is a popular hiking trail of approximately 955km traversing the French Pyrenees. The trail starts in Hendaye at the Atlantic coast and finishes in Banyuls-sur-Mer on the Mediterranean coast. This episode captures days 18-21 (±90km) on the trail, from Refuge des Oulètes de Gaube to the village of Vielle-Aure. During this section I reached the higest point of the GR10, the Hourquette d'Ossoue (2734m) and entered the stunning national park la Réserve Naturelle de Néouvielle.
