The Building of the US Brig NIAGARA
Learn about the construction of the U.S. Brig NIAGARA, the official flagship of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania! Launched in 1988, NIAGARA sails today as a U.S. Coast Guard certified Sailing School Vessel, keeping alive the time-honored traditions of square-rigged seamanship through her live-aboard sailing programs. The U.S. Brig NIAGARA and the Erie Maritime Museum are owned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and administered by the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission with the assistance of the Flagship Niagara League.
