It is hard to believe that these two animals met just four weeks ago as a beast and its prey. Their fascinating bond began late last month when the zoo staff gave the tiger a goat for lunch. A miraculous event occurred when a goat, once placed in a cage, displayed such bravery that it attacked the tiger first, far from being afraid of it. The tiger, which until then had ferociously attacked and devoured its live prey, unexpectedly began to treat the courageous goat with affection. The tiger performed unbelievable acts, such as taking walks in the cage with the goat and even sharing its water bowl. The zoo named the brave goat, which had subdued even the tiger, after Timur, the great conqueror who ruled Central Asia in the 14th century. Timur constantly follows Amur around as if serving him as its leader, and Amur roars in search of him when he is out of sight; their friendship is deepening day by day.
