This song is an ode dedicated to the nine saints of Java known as Walisongo. Wali Songo (or Wali Sanga) were a revered group of nine Islamic missionaries and scholars credited with spreading Islam across Java in the 15th and 16th centuries. They are celebrated for successfully integrating Islamic teachings with local Javanese culture, arts, and traditions, notably using wayang (shadow puppets) and gamelan music. The Nine Saints of Java : Sunan Gresik (Maulana Malik Ibrahim): Often considered the pioneer of Islam in Java, he established the first Islamic boarding school (pesantren) in Gresik, East Java. Sunan Ampel (Raden Rahmat): Based in Surabaya, he is regarded as the original leader of the group and helped establish the Demak Sultanate. Sunan Bonang (Maulana Makdum Ibrahim): Located in Tuban, he was known for using Javanese arts, like the gamelan, to introduce Islamic teachings. Sunan Drajat (Raden Qasim): Preached in Lamongan, he was highly focused on social welfare and community development. Sunan Giri (Sayyid Muhammad Ainul Yaqin): Based in Gresik, he established a prominent religious and political center, significantly influencing the spread of Islam to other islands in the archipelago. Sunan Kudus (Sayyid Ja'far Shadiq): Preached in Kudus, Central Java. He is well-known for his tolerant approach to da'wah, particularly utilizing Hindu-influenced architecture like the Minaret of Kudus. Sunan Kalijaga (Raden Said): One of the most famous wali, he utilized wayang kulit (shadow puppets) to spread Islamic philosophy throughout Java, including the Yogyakarta region. Sunan Muria (Raden Umar Said): Stationed on Mount Muria near Kudus, he lived a simple life among the common people and mountain communities. Sunan Gunung Jati (Sultan Syarif Hidayatullah): Based in Cirebon, West Java, he was both a religious leader and a ruler, founding the Sultanate of Cirebon. The production of "9Java Saints" consist human creativity and Artificial Intelligent generation. An eksperimental, from traditional world to modern multi-genre mix of music. In this project we compose elements of Synthesizer of industrial, acid, techno, middle east instrument, Javanese traditional pentatonic melodies along with heavy drums, multi-layer distorted guitar riffs and power male vocals.
