RX 580 vs RX 6500 XT in 2025 - Which Is Best For Less Than $100?

Back in 2017 the AMD RX 580 was a great gaming graphics card for the money and despite lack of driver support these days it holds up fairly well. Fast-forward 5 years and the RX 6500 XT appeared at the entry-level end of the market at a similar launch price, at least on paper, because it was very hard to find at MSRP due to shortages. Both of these cards can now be found for less than £100 or $100, although the 580 is more plentiful at this price point. That said, I wanted to compare these two in a handful of the latest games to see which budget GPU comes out on top. Will it be the 8GB 580, or the 4GB RX 6500 XT?
