Italian Grandma Makes the BEST Chicken Marsala
Chicken Marsala Recipe: 3 chicken breasts, cut in half and then pounded thinner Salt and pepper 1 tsp garlic powder 2 tbsp olive oil 3 tbsp butter 1 pkg brown or white mushrooms, thinly sliced 3 tsp minced garlic 3/4 cup Marsala 1/2 cup heavy cream Sprinkle chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. In a large frying pan, add butter and olive oil. Heat and brown chicken breasts on both sides, about 3 minutes per side. Set aside. In the same pan, sauté minced garlic and add mushrooms until cooked. Add Marsala and cook until slightly reduced. Add heavy cream and bring to a slow, low boil. Add chicken breasts and simmer in the sauce until cooked (10 minutes or more). More wine and cream may be added if necessary. Eat over a bed of rice, mashed potatoes, or buttered noodles if you wish.
