Coffee Video Poker (9/6 Jacks or Better Video Poker)

In this video we introduce our custom 9/6 Video Poker strategy called "Chutes and Ladders". It's a conservative strategy that only puts at risk winnings for a chance to win hands at much higher denominations. The first thing you do is choose your denomination floor and ceiling, e.g. we're going to start at 25 cent and not go any higher than $1 denominations. Next, you play 25 cent x 5 hands ($1.25 per hand) so that we get the highest Return to Player (RTP), which is 99.54% on 9/6 Jacks or Better (assuming that we make all the mathematically correct decisions). By starting at our floor denomination, we minimize losses due to unlucky poker hands, i.e. streaks of bad cards. Once we get a hand that doubles our bet (or more), we ladder up to the next denomination, in our case 50 cent x 5 which equals $2.50 hands. If we double our bet (or more) at the 50 cent denomination, we ladder up to the $1 denomination ($5 hands) and repeat. If we get our bet back at the 50 cent denomination, we stay here for another hand. If we lose, we immediate chute down to our starting 25 cent denomination. Note that we don't ladder down if we lose - instead we immediately "chute down" or return directly to our floor denomination. We continue this process until we reach our ceiling denomination, either staying there while we push and/or win, or lose in which case we chute down to our floor denomination to repeat the process. By using the Chutes and Ladder strategy the most money that you will ever lose per hand is limited to your floor denomination x 5, or $1.25 in our case.
