The Design Evolution of Cecil Harvey

In this episode we're looking at the character design of Cecil Harvey from Final Fantasy IV. FF4 was a transformational approach to gameplay design and narrative design at Squaresoft. Through the character of Cecil who begins the game as a Dark Knight before going through a redemptive character arc at Mt Ordeals to become a Paladin, we have a renewed focus on character stories that changed the course of Final Fantasy, and makes the Final Fantasy IV story one of the most interesting to date.
