Walking the Camino Portugués | Central, Coastal & Spiritual Routes | Full documentary

Join me on this unforgettable journey, step by step, from Fátima to Santiago. Discover why the Camino is not just a path, but a way of life. If you want to see how much this whole journey cost me:    • How much does it cost to walk the Camino? ...   This was an epic journey across Portugal and Spain. In this full-length documentary, I share my 23 day pilgrimage along the Camino Portugués from Fátima to Santiago de Compostela. Spanning over 600 kilometers, this film weaves together the Central, Coastal, and Spiritual Variant routes, capturing the spirit, challenges, and rewards of one of the world’s most beloved pilgrimages. The adventure begins with a flight from Bucharest to Lisbon, where the anticipation is as high as the plane soaring above the Alps. After a day exploring Lisbon’s vibrant streets and sacred sites, I travel to Fátima by bus. The next day, the true pilgrimage begins, leaving Fátima on foot, I traverse the Central Route, passing through Tomar, Alvaiázere, and the Roman ruins of Conímbriga, each day bringing new landscapes, weather, and companions. Early mornings become routine as I walk through sleepy villages, lush forests, and rolling hills. The camaraderie of fellow pilgrims, sharing stories, meals, and the occasional hardship, forms the heart of the Camino experience. Rain, hail, and sunshine all play their part, but nothing dampens the spirit of the journey. Each Albergue and hostel offers not just shelter, but a sense of community and belonging. Crossing into Porto marks a turning point, as I transition from the Central to the Coastal Route. Here, the Atlantic Ocean becomes a constant companion: golden beaches, fishing villages, and dramatic sunsets define the days. Walking barefoot along the shoreline, feeling the sea breeze, and exploring historic towns like Viana do Castelo and Caminha, the pilgrimage takes on a new, invigorating rhythm. After Caminha, I've passed the border into Spain by taxi boat, an amazing experience. The final stretch is the legendary Spiritual Variant, a path less traveled, winding through ancient forests, past centuries-old monasteries, and along the mystical Ruta da Pedra e da Auga. A unique boat crossing on the Río Ulla retraces the legendary journey of Saint James’ remains, adding a layer of history and wonder to the adventure. As I approach Santiago, the anticipation builds. The last kilometers are alive with fellow pilgrims, the air charged with excitement and emotion. Entering the Praza do Obradoiro and standing before the cathedral is a moment of overwhelming joy and gratitude, a culmination of every challenge, friendship, and moment of awe along the way. This documentary is more than a travel vlog, it’s a story of perseverance, discovery, and transformation. Whether you’re a seasoned pilgrim, a first-time walker, or simply curious about the Camino, this film invites you to experience the magic, beauty, and profound meaning of the Camino Portugués. ⏰TIMESTAMPS⏰ 00:00:00 - From home to Fatima 00:03:48 - Day 1: Fatima to Tomar 00:10:45 - Day 2: Tomar to Alvaiazere 00:17:49 - Day 3: Alvaiázere to Rabaçal 00:28:37 - Day 4: Rabacal - Coimbra 00:37:50 - Day 5: Coimbra to Sernadelo 00:42:01 - Day 6: Sernadelo to Agueda 00:47:30 - Day 7: Águeda to Albergaria a Nova 00:51:01 - Day 8: Albergaria a Nova to São João da Madeira 00:56:21 - Day 9: Sao Joao da Madeira to Vila Nova de Gaia 01:00:09 - Day 10: Vila Nova de Gaia to Porto 01:02:41 - Day 11: Porto to Vila do Conde 01:07:52 - Day 12: Vila do Conde to Esposende 01:12:35 - Day 13: Esposende to Viana do Castelo 01:17:47 - Day 14: Viana do Castelo to Caminha 01:30:58 - Day 15: Caminha to Mougás 01:38:52 - Day 16: Mougas to Vigo 01:46:57 - Day 17: Vigo to Arcade 01:51:33 - Day 18: Arcade to Pontevedra 01:57:33 - Day 19: Pontevedra to Armenteira 02:05:40 - Day 20: Armenteira to Vilanova de Arousa 02:16:30 - Day 21: Vilanova de Arousa to Santiago 02:31:17 - Day 22: Santiago de Compostela 02:33:06 - Day 23: Going home #camino #caminoportugues #caminodesantiago How I Walked the Camino Portugués in 23 Days | Full Journey & Tips for Pilgrims Complete Camino Portugués Guide: Central, Coastal & Spiritual Routes in 23 Days Camino Portugués 2025 | Ultimate Guide & Documentary from Fátima to Santiago Pilgrim’s Diary: Walking the Camino Portugués - Central, Coastal & Spiritual Routes
