TooTs Tunes Presents... The DnB Takeover with Vinylmixer taking us on a journey across heavyweight jungle basslines! Vinylmixer has been spinning the wheels of steel since ‘95, first starting on belt drives and moving up to Technics. He plays old school Hardcore, Jungle and Ragga Jungle, tho Vinylmixer doesn’t believe in subgenres he thinks all music should be played if it brings the vibe! His early influences are Sy, Pligrim, Micky Finn, Ratty, Slipmat, GE Rual, Darren Jay, and Hype. He first played out in ‘98 at Oscars and became a regular DJ at Epitomy, in Clacton, as well as playing at Club Foreign in Colchester, Fire in Vauxhall, and Intense Records’ Vinyl sessions and Bassment sessions events. He has played alongside some legends such as Mampai Swift and Nicky Blackmarket. He started playing on Clacton’s local pirate radio stations in ‘97, firstly as guest on Raw Fm, then getting a resident show on Switch FM with Rob Wilde till c.2004. He is currently a resident at Oldskool UK, Timeless, and TooTs Tunes and has previously played for Bassment Sessions and Interface. He also used to stream for stations back in the day on Realplayer way before there was MySpace. After a decades break, Vinylmixer, got back into mixing during covid. He thinks the scene is really exciting with all the new hardcore being produced and vinyl being released, he is enjoying mixing now more than he ever did before. Tracklist: 1.
