Escorting a commercial airliner in full Mixed Reality is so cool! ✈️ Strapped into my @NextLevelRacing Boeing Military Edition Seat, inside my @WINCTRL home cockpit, and using SimGears deskpit gear, I took to the skies for one of the most immersive flights yet! By combining the Meta Quest 3 with Virtual Desktop, I am flying in full Mixed Reality, bringing physical controls and virtual skies together seamlessly. In this mission, we take off from Souda Air Base in Chania, Crete, for a high-stakes escort mission. Our assignment: shadow a commercial Airbus airliner all the way to Athens Eleftherios Venizelos Airport, ensuring its safe passage across the Aegean Sea, before turning back for a tactical recovery and landing back home in Chania.
