Living with Rett Syndrome: Sarah and Kendyll
Twenty-four-year-old Sarah Holten has been unable to communicate due to Rett Syndrome… a neurological condition affecting 1 in 12,000 girls. Until recently it was assumed sufferers lacked cognitive function, but Sarah’s Mum knew her daughter was conscious. Through tireless advocacy, Sarah got an eye-gaze communication device, and is helping others get the same… like four-year-old Kendyll who was diagnosed last year. Made with the support of NZ On Air.
