Gecko vivarium update + why my Reptizoo terrarium leaked 💧

I built a custom Reptizoo terrarium about a month ago and since then I have run into to numerous issues. First...my mourning geckos were escaping, but even more alarming was that my terrarium was leaking! It seemed like from the beginning this terrarium was on a mission to fail... Fortunately each and every one of my problems was an easy fix. It just took a little bit of slowing down...and thinking about what was actually causing the problem in the first place. In the end all my terrarium needed was a little fresh air, some tape around the edges and a ball valve to control the waterfall from spraying water all over the open seams. Reptizoo terrariums are a little bit unique because they come shipped in flat boxes with open seams on the top of the terrarium. If you are creating a high humidity terrarium you will have to find some way to deal with the moisture otherwise it will simply leak out the sides. That said, even if it didn't leak out the sides you'd still want to have a terrarium with fresh air coming in and out not only for the health of the miniature ecosystem you've created, but also because it will make watching the terrarium so much more pleasant without water droplets all of the glass! This video is about terrariums, terrarium vloggers, fixing my leaky terrarium, Reptizoo terrarium leaking, fixing leaky terrarium, how to stop mourning geckos from escaping, terrarium update and ya that's about it...no witty comment today. I want to make it clear that I actually quite love Reptizoo terrariums. The issues I've faced with leaking and even the mourning geckos escaping are purely issues that I never thought to address. The good news is on my next automated terrarium build I'll have a lot more know how and a lot more intuition on how to design the ecosystem in the first place.
