Redot - The Fallen Firefighter
A tribute song for a fallen hero on the Fire Dept ( Lyrics ) He wakes up every morning goes straight for his uniform, puts the clothing on its the proudest thing hes ever worn. There is no denying he is ready to work threw a storm eager to save a life and bring them back before their gone. Before he leaves his home kiss his wife and then his kids takes in every second who knows if he'll be here again, for now its time to suit up, say a prayer for good luck, when that alarm sounds hes running for that red truck. He knows its dangerous trained for all his life for this, hes ready to lay it all down just to reach a needing hand. When they need his help the most he'll pull them out despite the cost. Hes shadowed by heavenly ghosts to help him save the almost lost. He loves what hes doing to save those dying or in danger, he'll risk his own life just to save a perfect stranger. He deserves and award, he's brave straight to the core, but his was not the ending that we all had prayed for. She gets the call from the station, no chance for evading the agonizing tone or every word the chiefs saying her husbands passed away on the hero's path took the victims place gave his last and died an honored death but still a bitter taste in her mouth how to tell the kids when words will not come out the only thing that happens is she cries and tries to not fall down. she knows that they can read her pain contorted face quivering lip a broken heart displayed by red eyes and clenched fingertips. daddies gone away and hes not coming home he served his final call and now he is his own daddy was very brave, bravest I've ever known so we will speak of his life so everybody knows. take him home with sirens lay him down with horns wash the ground with tears let heaven hear you mourn don't forget his face remember his smile take these memories and run with them for miles. We are gathered here today to remember our fallen brothers and sisters, our mothers and fathers who have lost their lives to the job. you have payed the ultimate price for someones life, you have given everything for another and we will never forget it. though we wish you were alive with us we know you are in a better place and you watch over us still, forever protecting us... the fallen firefighter Now we sit in a church wearing all black, theres a procession of fire trucks waiting out back. Among the sniffles and sobs and the passing of looks I see he son standing up and thats all that it took. He wore a strong face for being so young, his tears were his song the words everyone sung to the casket he walked with his head hung he said I love you dad more then anyone
