The best moments of Fasnacht in Basel 2024 and Guggenmusik. Basler Fasnacht is called locally "Die drei scheenschte Dääg", is the biggest Carnaval de Suisse. It is listed as one of the top local festivities in Europe as well as UNESCO's intangible cultural heritage. This video shows the best moments of all 3 days of Fasnacht, "Cortège" / "Fasnachtsumzug" (the parade) with plenty of many kind of "Cliques" (formed groups of participants) playing "Guggenmusik" (brass band music), wearing colourful costumes and masks, also throwing tons of confetti, flowers, sweets, drinks, vegetables and oranges to the crowd. Fasnacht in Basel starts on the Monday after Ash Wednesday at 4:00 AM with the "Morgestraich" march. The carnival lasts for 72 hours and ends on Thursday morning at 4:00 am.
