Giant is launching its new 800Wh Giant Energypak Smart battery in 2022. This integrated, genuine replacement battery weighs the same as the 500Wh batteries but offers 60% more range. Ideal for riders who already own a 2019 or later Giant bike with an integrated battery and are thinking about increasing their bike's range. In this video, we'll show you how to install the new 800Wh Giant Energypak Smart Battery on a 2019 Giant Trance E+. We also provide instructions on how to install the trim cover on the 800Wh Giant battery. The Giant 800Wh battery is compatible with the Giant Stance E+ (2019-2022), Trance E+ (2019-2021), and Reign E+ (2020-2021) bicycles, as well as the 2019-2022 Liv Embolden E+ and 2019-2020 Intrigue E+ women's models. The new Giant EnergyPak Smart 800 battery was developed in collaboration with Panasonic, featuring 800Wh and 22,700 high-density cells. Due to its nearly identical dimensions, the Smart 800 battery is compatible with most current Giant e-bike models and can even be retrofitted to older models with a special cover. IMPORTANT: The Giant 800Wh EnergyPak battery has slightly different dimensions than the 500Wh and 625Wh batteries. To install the new battery on the 2019, 2020, and 2021 models, you'll need to order the Giant-specific battery cover. You can check the table below for the specific cover for your Giant bike.
