22 June 2026 – Sherpa Toli Summer Gathering A total of 26 members of the Sonoma Sherpa Toli gathered at Sonoma Plaza at 8:30 AM. After a short briefing by our leader, Pasang Nuru Sherpa, and a group photo, we departed in six cars for the approximately 160-mile journey to Moaning Cavern Adventure Park. Upon arrival, we enjoyed a delicious potluck lunch near the entrance before taking the famous spiral tour into Moaning Cavern. Exploring one of California’s largest caverns was truly an exciting and memorable experience for everyone. In the late afternoon, we arrived at Buckeye Basecamp Airbnb, where we enjoyed snacks and later relaxed with a refreshing swim in the nearby river. Dinner was lovingly prepared by the mothers’ group, and the evening was filled with joyful music, dancing, laughter, and friendship. In a special Father’s Day celebration, the mothers’ group honored all the fathers with traditional offerings of Chyang, Khata, and a beautiful cake, making the occasion even more meaningful. Enjoyed Chyangdung until midnight. It was a wonderful day of togetherness, adventure, and celebration, creating many happy memories for the Sonoma Sherpa community.
