This Rare Durga Stotram by Lord Shiva Fills Me with Strength and Faith
Durga Stotram by Lord Shiva | दुर्गास्तोत्रं श्रीशिवकृतम् | Powerful Hymn to the Divine Mother Shri Shivakrita Durga Stotram is a magnificent hymn in which Lord Shiva Himself praises Goddess Durga, the Supreme Divine Mother and source of all creation. In this profound stotram, Shiva glorifies Devi as the origin of Lakshmi, Saraswati, Radha, Ganga, Tulsi, all divine energies, all virtues, all forms of nature, and the Supreme Reality beyond both form and formlessness. The hymn beautifully presents Maa Durga as the universal power behind creation, preservation, destruction, knowledge, prosperity, devotion, liberation, and spiritual awakening. Complete English Translation Verse 1 "O Great Goddess Durga, destroyer of difficulties and suffering, protect me. O compassionate Mother, safeguard me, Your devoted servant, who is troubled by enemies and hardships." Verse 2 "O Divine Narayani, Supreme Vishnu Maya, blessed and eternal one, embodiment of Brahman and eternal bliss, I bow to You." Verse 3 "O Mother Ambika, Mother of the Universe, You are the source of Brahma and all the gods. You exist both with form and qualities, and beyond form and qualities." Verse 4 "Through Your power, You manifest as Purusha and Prakriti. Beyond both, You uphold the eternal Supreme Brahman." Verse 5 "You are the Mother of the Vedas, the Supreme Savitri. In Vaikuntha You are Mahalakshmi, the embodiment of all prosperity." Verse 6 "You are Lakshmi in the celestial realms, the beloved of Lord Vishnu, and the giver of royal fortune upon the Earth." Verse 7 "You are the divine prosperity of all realms, the presiding deity of homes, the essence of all crops, and the bestower of abundance and wealth." Verse 8 "You are Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom and speech. You are the divine force governing life itself and the Supreme Power of the Paramatma." Verse 9 "In Goloka, You are Radha residing on the chest of Shri Krishna. You are the presiding Goddess of Vrindavan and all its sacred forests." Verse 10 "You delight within the Rasa Mandala and the divine pastimes of Vrindavan. You are also known as Chitravali in higher celestial realms." Verse 11 "In one age You are Daksha's daughter, in another You are the daughter of the Himalayas. You are the Mother of the gods and the support of the entire Earth." Verse 12 "You are Ganga, Tulsi, Swaha, Swadha, and Sati. Through portions of Your divine power all celestial feminine energies arise." Verse 13 "You manifest as woman, man, and beyond gender. You are the life within trees and the sprouting force within creation." Verse 14 "You are the burning power within fire, the cooling essence of water, and the radiance of the Sun." Verse 15 "You are fragrance within the Earth, sound within space, beauty within the Moon, and splendor within the lotus." Verse 16 "You are creation during creation, preservation during sustenance, dissolution during destruction, and the essence of water itself." Verse 17 "You are hunger, compassion, sleep, thirst, wisdom, contentment, nourishment, faith, and forgiveness." Verse 18 "You are peace, bewilderment, beauty, fame, modesty, divine illusion, enjoyment, and liberation." Verse 19 "You are the embodiment of all powers and the giver of every prosperity. The Vedas declare You indescribable and beyond complete understanding." Verse 20 "Even a thousand mouths cannot adequately praise You. Neither the Vedas nor Saraswati can fully describe Your greatness." Verse 21 "Neither Brahma nor eternal Vishnu can completely glorify You. How can I, Shiva with five faces, praise You adequately?
