This experiment was borne out of a joke at pulp conventions in the 1970's. Murray wrote every story as if it were a spicy pulp magazine of the 1930's focused on zeppelins. The experiment is an absolute success because every story feels ripped directly form a 1930's spicy pulp. There's everything from WWI stories to G Man tales to...even Westerns and Science Fiction stories all centered around zeppelins! Not only does this feel exactly like the more adult spicy pulps of the 30's but it has the added benefit of a winking at the audience quality that makes every page delicious. This edition has lovely illustrations for each story plus a new foreword by Murray detailing the project. It also includes one final short story originally published separately that is a sequel to the feature story. An absolutely ESSENTIAL read for any pulp fan!
