Sunday Strolls Ep. 4 | The National Golf Club | Gunnamatta Course

Welcome back to Sunday Strolls, this week we've left the Sandbelt and headed down the Mornington Peninsula to The National Golf Club for a stroll around the front nine of the Gunnamatta course. Originally opened in 2000 as the Ocean Course, designed by Peter Thomson and Michael Wolveridge, it was completely reimagined by Tom Doak in 2019 and reborn as Gunnamatta. Doak's brief was simple: build a course that's fun for everyone and still playable when the coastal wind really blows. The result is wide fairways, wild green complexes, and some of the most enjoyable golf you'll find anywhere in Australia. Clifftop views over Bass Strait don't hurt either. Hope you enjoy the stroll. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Course: The National Golf Club (Gunnamatta), Cape Schanck, Australia Original layout: Peter Thomson & Michael Wolveridge (2000, as the Ocean Course) Redesign: Tom Doak (2019) ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ 🎧 Best with headphones 🔔 Hit subscribe so you can come along on the next stroll Catch up on the series Ep. 1 — Commonwealth Golf Club: [   • Sunday Strolls Ep. 1 | Commonwealth Golf C...  ] Ep. 2 — Metropolitan Golf Club: [   • Sunday Strolls Ep. 2 | Metropolitan Golf C...  ] Ep. 3 — Victoria Golf Club: [   • Sunday Strolls Ep. 3 | Victoria Golf Club ...  ] ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Find me elsewhere Instagram: @zach_muz Massive thanks to the team at The National Golf Club for having us out. 🎥Instagram: ‪@Joshdelgorgegolf‬ 🎒Instagram: @Hirokigolf_ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #SundayStrolls #TheNationalGolfClub #Gunnamatta #MorningtonPeninsula #TomDoak #AustralianGolf
