Sri Raghavendra Swami, also known as Sri Raghavendra Swami, is one of the most revered saints in the Hindu Madhwa tradition. Born in 1595 in Bhavanagiri, Tamil Nadu, as Sri Venkanna Bhatta, he was the second son of Sri Timman Bhatta and followed the path of Dvaita philosophy established by Madhvacharya. Sri Raghavendra Swami devoted his life to spreading the teachings of Dvaita Vedanta and was a staunch follower of Vishnu as the supreme deity. He became a sanyasi under the Madhwa tradition and was known for his miracles, spiritual wisdom, and dedication to Vaishnavism. His Brindavana in Mantralaya, Andhra Pradesh, remains a sacred site where devotees continue to witness his divine presence even after more than 400 years. He is also associated with several divine incarnations: his first avatar was said to be as Prahlada, and the second as Vyasaraja. Sri Raghavendra Swami was not only a philosopher but also a composer of spiritual texts like the Parimala Grantha, authored by Parimala Arya.
