Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Çüngüş Public Prosecutor's Office, it was determined from camera trap images placed in the forest that illegal cannabis cultivation was taking place and that the cultivated area was being watered and maintained. In the investigation, CHP District Chairman Seyit Akdağ and his son Z.A. were taken into custody. During the searches, 10 cannabis plants, 14 seedbeds, 1 unlicensed pistol, 1 unlicensed hunting rifle, 38 cartridges, and 2 magazines were seized. Z.A. stated in his testimony that he cultivated the cannabis for himself and that his father had no involvement in the cultivation. Seyit Akdağ stated that the unlicensed pistol belonged to his deceased father.
