Tekken 3 Online - Violet (Lei) vs 134 (Panda) Miniature set [ft10]

Check pinned comment for highlights. Played on 18.07.26 A high quality set against a proper Lei with actual thought put into gameplay. Connection wasn't smooth, but it was enough for a good performance from both sides. A very painful one for me, it came down to the slightest of margins many times. One round I lost because I chose second ff2 instead of 1+2 to hit grounded, one round I lost because I didn't play around toekick, etc. Lag made me drop way more juggles than it made him drop, unfortunately. There were multiple adaptations from both sides along the way! At 5-5 you can notice a psychological shift: he stopped attacking as much and straight up stood, exposing Panda's dependancy on opponent's actions, but still. Making high tier Lei stand still against a freaking Panda? Quite an achievement, if I do say so myself Notes: -It took me very off guard, but Lei's mere 1 jab beats Panda's f1, which made me lose a lot of starting rounds at first half. Eventually I started backing away and doing f1+2 at times, this won me a few rounds, took him time to also start just backing away at round start -He challenged skirmish with 1 and df2 a lot and to great success. Even melee skirmish is on Lei's side in this matchup, not to mention obnoxious unpunishable punch parry 50/50s, quite a hell for Panda to navigate -Lei was using 4~3 against grounded after finishing a juggle, which is virtually guaranteed vs big characters, props to Violet him for maximizing his damage output -Somewhere in second half of set I notice that he often goes for fn4,1 into a 50/50 between hellsweep and hopkick (or maybe jab), so instead of challenging with f1 (which is intuitively sound, but hellsweep animation crushes that), I started challenging with df2, which brought me a lot of milage and a bit of a comeback as a result -Eventually he started using toe kick to counter okizeme 1+2. I still went for it everytime because distance/timing might still allow to beat toekick, but should've considered baiting it out a few times, though connection didn't favor such a sharp approach -While Panda relies on catching Lei's advance with f1+2/ff2 a lot, Lei's BT d4 is practically uncounterable and, naturally, drained a lot of health from me in this set -Now that I think of it, the few times I landed 2,1 I could've instead land f2;2,1 or f2 into circus throw, particularly as a hopkick punish. My bad, don't use Panda often GG
