(I'm sorry some of video cuts out sometimes during this video, we had some technical difficulties during this meeting) React and Redux If you've paid any attention to front-end web development you've no doubt heard about React and Redux. The React and Redux combo are pretty popular for building web apps these days. As more web sites move toward making interactive UI environments React aims to smooth out the development of interactive websites by using reusable, composable and stateful components. React also aims to make working with the browser DOM much easier. Redux is a predictable state container for JavaScript applications. In this presentation Mat Piccinato will describe what React and Redux are and how they can lead to better interfaces. Let's take a look at the basics of React and Redux and see why they work so well together. Bio Mat Piccinato likes to build things with code. Over the past few years, he has started a few companies with some great people in Detroit. Back in 2011, he co-founded UpTo and they raised their first round from Detroit Venture Partners. It didn't exactly become a raving success but they learned quite a bit. They then went on to launch the world's first stock market of things, StockX. Later in Q4 of 2016, he moved on to assist Sift in building out their platform as the CTO.
