The Dragons of Skyrim Are More Realistic Than You Think!
In The Elder Scrolls Skyrim, dragons are everywhere flying, shouting, and breathing fire, but how well do these creatures hold up under real science? Could something like Alduin actually fly? Could it really shoot fire from its mouth? And what about those wings, could it get off the ground? I break down the anatomy, physiology, and powers of Skyrim’s dragons to see how realistic they really are. From biology and physics to evolution and aerodynamics, I’ll compare these lizards to real world animals, ancient pterosaurs, and even technology. We’re going to see if Bethesda’s legendary dragons could survive outside of Tamriel. If Skyrim’s map can be analyzed, so can its monsters. And all for science and fun.
