As Europeans continue their strategic rearmament in the face of the Russian threat, the Kremlin is escalating its provocations. A Russian warship conducted a live-fire exercise off the English coast on Monday evening, on the eve of the arrival of the new British Prime Minister, Andy Burnham, at 10 Downing Street. "A manly salute in the form of a threat," commented Bruno Fuchs, MoDem MP and chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee, who accused Vladimir Putin of wanting to "destabilize Europe" at a time when it is rearming.
