Soldier Boy VS Captain America Isn't Close

Captain America VS Soldier Boy Isn't Close ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ My Twitter~   / tylearn_   ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Captain America vs Soldier Boy isn’t what you think. Upon first glance surely you’d believe this blue suped soy boy coughing baby would lose to the hydrogen goat. But after getting back into the MCU in more recent times, I think this topic is actually more nuanced in retrospect, especially after seeing Soldier Boys' horrible performance in Season 5. To spice things up let’s talk about their skillset and equipment, since this is more of an important factor due to both fighters having that soldier archetype. We’ll start with the good lad Steve Rodgers, who of course got his powers after receiving the super soldier serum. This serum of course was from the Super Soldier Project, an experiment that pretty much shaped the average man into the perfect soldier. This in conjunction with his Vibranium Shield makes him a pretty deadly opponent in close quarters. This weapon in specific allows Captain America to absorb a lot more damage than he normally should be able to withstand, such as strikes from Mjolnir or even Thanos’ blade. This is of course because of the shield being made of vibranium, the strongest metal on the planet that allows Captain America to absorb the damage from most attacks. After being experimented on by Russians, he’s able to emit a blast of radiation capable of frying the compound v out of a person's system, making them powerless. The only issue with this is it takes a long time to even get the blast off and he can only use it once per battle. Soldier Boy does have combat experience but there’s no particular statement about his skills or hand to hand experience, just the fact that he physically was the strongest before Homelander basically. He himself does carry a shield but it’s not made out of a special material but it is something to note. Obviously this isn’t really that impressive as characters like Noir are surviving building level explosions but I don’t think Steve is capped at this tier, especially with his shield. He’s withstanding blows from Mjolnir that generated a shockwave strong enough to erase city blocks, to somehow withstanding strikes from Thanos. Soldier Boy has statements of being compared to H Bombs and they did test nuclear weapons on him when he was being experimented on, but it’s clear he’s not as strong as an H Bomb, especially given his strongest attack comes out to around maybe City Block if you want to be generous but, this tier is pretty good to put him at stat wise. Captain America in terms of pure power may be weaker, however the shield itself should be able to withstand Soldier Boys attacks and unironically hurt him. The only issue would be if Cap ever somehow didn’t have the shield in the fight because THAT would be bad. For reference this is the same shield that is never budging from Winter Soldier's strikes, the same guy who’s capable of physically tearing through Iron Man’s armor. Captain America doesn’t appear to be that fast as he’s mainly reacting to Grenade Launchers and gun fire but he’s kept up with a lot of the strong fighters in the MCU. Cap obviously isn’t traveling this fast but he should confidently be reacting at speeds at least a few times above the speed of sound bare minimum. I know people might bring up this supersonic statement from quicksilver in this guide but, if I’m being honest there’s more evidence to say he’s closer to Massively Hypersonic if we’re purely looking at statements only. And are we saying phase 2 Thor is below the speed of a bullet cause Quicksilver is faster? I didn't think so. However Soldier Boy unironically in speed is below Mister Marathon, A Train and especially Homelanders flight speed. I mean look at how he deals with Mister Marathon or when Homelander speeds at him, there’s really nothing he can do. Although Soldier Boy is stronger, Cap I fear is a lot faster and way more skilled in terms of hand to hand. Not only would Cap be fast enough to weave any attack Soldier Boy would throw, but due to the speed gap this makes it much easier for Cap to absorb any significant blows with his shield. Soldier Boy isn’t hitting nearly as hard as Thor or Thanos and it helps as well he doesn’t have magic or some comically large weapon to overwhelm Cap with. The only thing that would actually get past the shield would be his radiation blast, which I sincerely doubt Cap is going to just sit there to try and take. It takes way too long for this blast to be optimal in combat. So Soldier Boy would either be backed into a corner after attempting this, or he’d be stuck in the same place trying to fight someone who can absorb his blows, dodge and weave any of his attacks and can follow up with any counter he feels. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #marvel #theboys #mcu
