Join Elmo as he talks with Big Bird, Bert, Ernie, Cookie Monster, Grover, and Oscar the Grouch about their favorite summer activities. Elmo is excited to spend the summer at the playground, but soon discovers that all of his friends have different ideas for summer fun! Some friends want to swim at the pool, some want to visit the beach, some enjoy reading books, and Oscar the Grouch loves summer trash! Along the way, Elmo learns an important lesson: it’s okay for different friends to enjoy different things. You don’t have to like the exact same activities to have a wonderful summer and still be great friends! Maybe Elmo will even try some new activities with his friends, too. Remember: “You can do what YOU like to do this summer. It doesn’t have to be what everybody else likes!” Trying new things can be fun, but it’s also important to appreciate that everyone enjoys summer in their own special way.
