However, if you look closely at the work's background, you'll realize that its infantilized form is merely a barrier to entry for the general public. Everyone is capable of reading its lines, but I can attest that how they are interpreted ultimately depends on the eyes through which they are viewed. Where a fourteen-year-old sees a simple analogy to enjoy his loved ones more, a psychology professor analyzes a possible similarity with Jungian archetypes, while a financial consultant realizes there are other jobs that would be much more fulfilling. Indeed, today it is my duty to pay tribute to a classic full of valuable teachings and allegories, canonized through a simple and direct style. Of course, the circumstances under which "The Little Prince" was written were far from easy. Antoine de Saint-Éxupéry, the genius hidden behind the scenes, found himself a refugee in New York during World War II, in the midst of its development. We have no doubt that his efforts at that time were completely worthwhile, leaving behind one of the most representative literary icons of the 20th century on a global scale. It is essential to note that the story is told in the first person, meaning the author himself narrates the events, placing himself as another character within the work. The Little Prince is a shy, blond boy whose origin is asteroid B-612: a celestial body with a surface area so small it could be equivalent to half the size of a high school classroom. His routine was not overly laborious: he swept his three mini-volcanoes, contemplated the various stars and numerous sunsets, and, above all, he carefully cared for his flower: the most precious object in his possession. However, this strange little man with golden hair was extremely curious: he always sought an answer to every question and was rarely satisfied with what he knew. One day, he thought it might be a good idea to temporarily leave his planet. After all, he ardently desired to visit the farthest reaches of the universe, meet different people, and learn new things. And so he did.
