Tori Kelly Interview | Hakuna matata. I sat down with Tori Kelly moments before her Akira in-store meet and greet at Block 37 Mall in Chicago to trace the many plausible origins of her signature 'Unbreakable Smile,' which also happens to be the title of her spectacular debut album, available now. Following down a carefully orchestrated trail of breadcrumbs, the bright-spirited California native opens up about her portion of childhood that was spent living in a trailer park called Happy Camp ("It was a little section of my life where we were waiting it out, trying to figure out things"), performing "Satisfied" by gospel artist Crystal Lewis time and time again during some of her earliest singing competitions as a youngster ("I had to be like six years old, dang, you're taking me way back"), and the uplifting sounds of her father's former band 24 Elders ("The guitar player in that band – fun fact – was the first person who taught me like my first three chords on guitar").
