He was born in Portugal and moved with his family to Angola! He grew up and studied in Luanda! 📚 Luandino was born in Portugal in 1935 and at the age of 3 moved with his family to Angola where he spent his childhood and youth. As a member of the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA), he participated in the resistance against Portuguese colonialism, which led to his arrest by the Portuguese police and a 14-year prison sentence. ⏰ Nós, os do Makulusu was originally published in 1974 and received a super elaborate edition from Editora Kapulana in 2019.
