Ever see a pitcher warm up like THIS?! (Paul Skenes at Steinbrenner Field)

These drills might look strange, but you can't argue with the results! This was my third game at George M. Steinbrenner Field, and I was lucky enough to get up close to Paul Skenes, the young phenom pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates. His team was taking on the Tampa Bay Rays, and his performance did not disappoint. As you might expect, there was lots of action for me aside from the game itself, and in fact the action unfolded before I even entered the stadium. Long before the gates open, there's a way to get baseballs thrown by the Rays from a practice field, so don't miss it. And don't miss this stadium in general. This is probably going to be the only season that it's ever used for actual MLB games, so visit while you can! This game took place on April 2, 2025.
